The MG 2006
National Convention was organized by the North American Council of MG Registers
and local host MG club, the EAST TENNESSEE MG DRIVERS CLUB.
The Council chose Gatlinburg, Tennessee as the location after looking at several
locations and concluding that East Tennessee (Gatlinburg was an ideal candidate
based on such factors as the attraction of the Great Smokey Mountains National
Park (one of the most visited in the U.S.) and the infamous "Tail of
the Dragon" (a section of U.S. Hwy 129 which boasts 318 curves in an
11 mile stretch)
MG 2006 was a hugh success due to the factors memtioned as well as
the tremendous amount of planning and actual on-site work performed by the members of the East Tennessee MG Drivers Club. There were 1,094 registered MG.s coming
from all over the U.S.A and Canada
MG's on the "Tail of the Dragon"
