Chuck & JoAnn Hamilton again led us on our annual drive to Hot Springs on the beautiful summer day of July 11, 2009. We were joined by members of the Appalachian British Car Society who met us in Greeneville, Tennessee and drove with us down Highway 70 and on Highway 107 through the Cherokee National Forest and the lush green hills of Madison County, North Carolina .
We drove through Hot Springs and up the mountain to a nearby recreational area for a picnic lunch. Afterwards we drove back to Hot Springs for some ice cream and a little stolling and shopping in some of the town's interesting little shops. We had great participation, a total of twenty-two members and fifteen cars which included one Jaguar, one Mini Cooper, thirteen MGBs, and one Honda.
Members participating from both clubs included: Ben Bailey; Al & Liz Bauerly; Barry Black; Greg Bowman & son Sam; Peter & Pat Davis; Juan Dominguez; Herren & Otti Floyd; Clarence Goodson; Chuck & JoAnn Hamilton; Paul Kern; Paul & Michelle McRoy; Gerry & Becky Mitchell; Jim & Susanne Neidert; Jon Whitt; and a few canine members.
